It is no doubt that the man at the driver's seat determines to a large extent, the destination of the people on board. But there are people who, instead of taking the wheel, they yielded it to Jesus and watched as He steers the affairs of the chapter to the direction of his will. One of such persons who totally yielded to the Lord's bidding is Mr Solomon Olalekan Bakare, the president of FECA Rukpokwu chapter in the 20016-2018 leadership tenure.
Mr. Solomon a native of Ikorodu, but has spent almost all his life in the City of Port Harcourt, Rivers State. He is a Digital Creator who studied Science at the Federal Government College, Port Harcourt. Connect with Mr Solomon on his social media handle here. (Facebook)
He is a very vibrant young man, zealous for the Vision and was able to take the chapter (with God's leading), to the place where the chapter is today. His birthday September 16.
There are many things that are expected of a chapter president, and they span even beyond the provisions of the constitution, because the times are changing and this generation is getting smarter way of doing things. Some of the duties of a chapter president include, but are not limited to the following:
- He shall be the overseer of the FECA chapter fellowship
- He shall be the Chief spokesman of the fellowship
- He shall, through the General Secretary, summon all executive meetings
- He shall preside over all executive meeting
- He shall coordinate and be responsible for all activities in the chapter.
- He shall be answerable to the Zonal Coordinator and the Zonal Secretary.
- He shall be answerable to the National Executive Council
