FAQ: Who is a Congressman in FECA?

In the tenure of 2020-2022, there are seven national Congressmen and eight regional Congressmen; we are going to be looking at the profile of these men and every other detail that one might be interested to know such as their home zone (State) favorite food, etc.

The National Congressmen include:

1. Samuel Edem

7. Ighadaro Etinosa Israel

Mr. Samuel Edem served as the National President of FECA Nigeria (2020-2022 tenure), after which he handed over to Com. Nlemedim Stephen Ugo who became the 2022-2024 national president of FECA Nigeria. He is from Akwa Ibom State, Uyo, and his birthday is  on the 21st of March. He attended the University of Calabar and Saint Monica University, Cameron where he graduated with B.Sc in Marine Biology, B.Sc in Port and Maritime Transport Management. He is currently working as Safety Management Personnel, Inland Logistics. People who have come in contact with him will agree that he is a very funny person, easy to talk to, a leader with humility and someone that is very grounded in the Word of God. He has served in various capacities from his zone up to the national level. 

During one of his speech while addressing FECAites, he said that one of  his first times of coming to a FECA meeting was when they were praying and at that time in his life, he could pray, but when he had exhausted all the prayer points he had,  FECAites were still praying. He became curious. Because even the person that was leading the prayers had been there before he arrived and the person has been praying, yet, the person was still praying. So this made him to vow that whatever made that person leading the prayers what he is, he too wants to have that thing. 

He became very committed in his home chapter, and became a  cell leader, where he made prayer the most important activity in his cell. People were baptized with fire during Cell meetings. He was able to train people, especially with his Reapers Club, and that was when he became the Outreach Coordinator. There are many stories that he shared about the times when trekking was the order of the day. Him and his colleagues would trek to a Fresher's house and buy gifts for the Fresher and then trek home...and many other touching stories. FECAites have stories to tell.
