The first time I heard about Steve Crown was when  the song "You are great" came out. That was in 2017. But the song came out in 2015, and then the video in 2016. It was a big hit. I mean, I loved it, my dad loved it, my sisters loved it, including our pagan neighbors. The music was a hit because, to me, it gave me plenty goosebumps and I felt the power in the song. Don't misinterpret me, what I mean to say is that the song is Holy Spirit-filled. Very. One of those days, our Pastor mentioned in Church that if he had his way, he would invite Steve Crown to the Church. But who is this Steve Crown?

Of course, the name Steve Crown is a legendary name, he needs no introduction he is known within and outside Nigeria.

He took the Nigerian gospel music industry by storm when he released his hit album "You're great”, in 2015 and the video in 2016. Some of the fact that you would like to know about Steve Crown are:

1. Steve Crown is from Obi in Benue state, Nigeria. It might interest you to know that Steve Crown is from the Igede ethnic group, one of the minority group in Benue state. And God has given this young man the grace to lift  and raise men who would worship him in Spirit and in truth.

2.Do you know that the full name of Steve Crown is  "UCHE OKOLO"? Well, I was surprised too. Because the first time I heard the name in that "You are Great" song, I checked and said, "Well, Steve Crown doesn't sound like a Nigerian name, so the guy must be a white man. I was shocked when I saw the video of the music on YouTube.

3. Do you know  that Steve Crown got born again at the age of nine? His biological father led him to Christ at such tender age. What a father. This is good. Steve Crown was raised in a family of  six in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory. And he came from an Anglican family, where he joined the kids choir at the Anglican Church and began singing at a tender age, around four years old. Steve Crown began his music career at a very young age. He started singing at the age of four and joined the choir of his local Anglican church, Saint John's, at eight. Initially, he was more interested in visual arts and drumming, but music eventually became his primary focus. His passion for music grew, and he started writing his own songs in his late teens. Although he initially pursued secular music during his university days, he later dedicated his life to gospel music in 2012. Wow, imagining Steve Crown singing hip hop is really crazy. Don't you agree? His breakthrough came with the release of his hit single "You Are Great," which became a viral sensation in the gospel music industry.

6. Steve Crown attended University of Abuja, where he obtained diploma in Law.

7. Do you know that he also attended Federal Polytechnic, Zamfara State, where he studied Office Management and Technology.?

8. Steve Crown has received several awards as a result of the  grounds that he has broken in the Gospel Music industry. He has received many awards and nomination including 2016 Best Artist of the year and Gospel song of the year, African entertainment legendary award, Christian Legendary impact makers awards, and so on.

9. He is the owner of the record label: "LAKE LIGHT ENTERTAINMENT". According to news sources , the mission of Lakelight Entertainment, founded by Steve Crown, is to discover and support gospel music talent. The organization aims to provide a platform for young artists to find their place in life, save souls, and teach valuable lessons through music. It seeks to create a positive impact in society by fostering a community that promotes spiritual growth and artistic development 

10. He has been the pioneer of  "Nations Will Rise And Sing" - NAWIRAS.

11. Steve is the boss of Lake Light Entertainment based in Abuja. This is his own record label. His debut album was produced, filmed under it's imprint. The aim of this record label is to discover talents and give them the opportunity to perform.

12. There is no official statement as to whether; the legendary Steve Crown is married yet. Well, officially, a lot of news sources report that his relationship status remains single and there is no wife in his life for now. But. But. I say it again. But. Recent posts from his Facebook page reveals that he is off the market  and that means Steve Crown is about to get married! I'm so excited. I saw the video two days after it was released where he stated this: "Officially off the market, two hearts fused by God, A walk to forever and the beginning of my best days".
