His name is Mr Kingsley Ughamba and he is a FECAite from Nsukka chapter. He is from Ihiala in Anambra State. He attended the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and is currently living in Nsukka. During his undergraduate days, he served as the Outreach Coordinator of FECA Nsukka chapter with the 2010-2012 leadership house that was led by the then President, Mrs Chizurum Damilola Ezeaku. He is currently a lecturer in the aforementioned institution and it is worth noting that he married in the year 2021, on the 16th of April.

In one of his messages to FECA Nsukka chapter, he writes about the difference between the Word of God and prophecies. An excerpt below shows the remarkable difference between the importance of the Word of God when compared to the prophetic.

When Peter encouraged the people of God to speak as Oracles of God, in 1 Peter 4:11, he clearly did not mean this verbalizing Holy Spirit-prompted words to substitute for the preaching and the teaching of the Word of God.  The text shows the relative importance of Prophetic words, or experiences we received compared to the place of the scriptures itself. Here, the Apostle compares himself and the experience that he had with Jesus on the Mount of transfiguration to the abiding word of the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1:19-21). He calls the word of the Scriptures confirmed and therefore makes a dramatic point for our understanding throughout Church history. If the experience of Peter was said by Peter himself to be subordinate to the “more sure” word of the Scripture, we have both a guideline and an ultimate statement. The guideline is that experience holds a greater authority than the Word of God.  This is not to discouraging our experiencing of the Word of God, but to simply remind us of the relative place of each type of “word” in our lives.

There is an ultimate statement here too. Many raise questions today as to we who have welcomed the gift of the operation of prophecy do so because of the lack of persuasion as to the sufficiency of the Word of God in us. In other words, we do believe that the Bible contains everything we need for salvation, faith and for obedient living? Of course, for the Bible believers, this is never a question in the spirit and practical truth contained in the words of Peter. There is no comparison between the Words of prophecy and the eternal Word of God. Prophecies are proper, biblically shown to be desirable, in 1 Corinthians 14:1 and helpful (1 Corinthians 14:3-5). However, the teaching of the Holy Scriptures is ultimate, conclusively authoritative, and more to be desired...than gold, the eternal word of God.
