An office in FECA actually means the position that an individual is being elected to occupy by the members of the fellowship/chapter. Every office in FECA come with a responsibility and everyone is accountable to someone who is higher in the chain of leadership. In this post, we'll be highlighting some of the offices that one can serve in a chapter as a leader in Federation of Colleges Ex-Students Christian Association, FECA.

For clearity sake, executive offices include
- President
- Vice president
- General Secretary
- Assistant General Secretary
- Prayer Secretary
- Financial Secretary
- Outreach Coordinator
- External Coordiantor
These offices are different from non-executive offices. The Nonn-executive offices are many, raging from cell leaders to unit/departmental heads, and coordinators of one function or another. Examples of non-executive offices include, but are not limited to the following:
- Music Coordinator
- Drama Coordinator
- Dance Coordinator
- Follow-up coordinator
- Librabry
- Chief Usher
- Media head
- Freshers' Leader
- and so on.

Roles of the President
The following are the roles that the president of a chapter is meant to carry out:
- He shall be the overseer of the FECA chapter fellowship
- He shall be the Chief spokeman of the fellowship
- He shall, through the General Secretary, summon all executive meetings
- He shall preside over all executive meeting
- He shall coordinate and be responsible for all activities in the chapter.
- He shall be answerable to the Zonal Coordinator and the Zonal Secretary.
- He shall be answerable to the National Executive Council
Roles of the Vice President
- The Vice president shall advice and assist the President in all his functions
- He shall delegate for the President in all his functions
- The vice president shall, on behalf of the president, recieve and entertain all official visitors of Federation of Colleges Ex-Students' Christian Association, FECA.
- The vice president shall also be responsible to the chapter president, the Zonal, Regional and National executives.
Roles of the General Secretary
"He shall, on the advice of the President, summon all Executive Council Meetigns. He or she shall conduct and handle all official correspondence of FECA. And, he or she shall keep the entire Executive Council members informed regularly on all policies and major events of FECA. Also, he shall be responsible for dispatching and writing of all monthly reports, programs and progress of the chapter fellowship to the Zonal Secretariate. Again, he or she shall moderate the Executive Council meetings and General meetings."
Roles of the Assistant General Secretary
- The Assistant General Secretary shall help the General Secretary in all his official duties and represent him when he is absent.
- The Assistant General Secretary shall be responsible for taking down minutes of executive meetinigs.
- The Assistant General Secretary shall perform all other such duties that shall be assigned to her by the executive body.
- He or she shall be responsible to the Chapter President, Zonal, Regional and National Executives.
Roles of the Prayer Secretary
- He shall be the leader of the prayer wing of the chapter fellowship.
- He shall organize and coordinate the formation and effective maintenance of prayer cells for all members of FECA.
- It shall be obligatory on him to uphold FECA in prayers and make supplication for all men.
- He shall in consultation with the president, be responsible for planning and directing all FECA prayer meetings and programs in relation to prayers.
- He shall be responsible to the Chapter President, Zonal, Regional and National Executives.
Roles of the Financial Secretary/Treasurer
- He shall keep all record of FECA’s financial transactions and balance same on monthly basis:
- He shall be responsible for the disbursement of FECA funds with the approval of the president.
- He shall prepare and make available to the zonal secretariat detailed reports of the fellowship quarterly.
- He shall be responsible to the Chapter President, Zonal, Regional and National Executives.
Roles of the Outreach Coordinator
- He shall be the leader of the Evangelism wing
- He shall be the chairman of the outreach committee.
- He shall be responsible for the planning and execution of all evangelistic programs of FECA
- He shall keep all records and directory of all members of his chapter.
- He shall be in charge of following up of the fellowship converts.
- He shall be the leader of the follow-up team.
- He shall be responsible to the Chapter President, Zonal, Regional and National Executives
Roles of the External Coordinator
- He shall be the spokesman of FECA with the approval of the Executive
- He shall represent the fellowship outside the chapter with the approval of the Executives.
- He shall be in charge of the publicity of all FECA activities and programs.
- He shall officially secure and make ready before time the venue for all FECA meetings and programs.
- He shall be responsible to the Chapter President, Zonal, Regional and National Executives.
