Roles of FECA National Prayer Secretary

  • When  someone mentions the prayer secretary, one of the first things that comes to mind is the act of praying. FECAites are young people who love to pray and this is evident in the outstanding 6 hours stretch of prayer that they do in every National or Regional program  called, FECA Prays. This is the one most important aspect of every FECA meeting and Freshers find it difficult to understand at first, but later, they would discover that they too can do FECA Prays. Someone who has not been to FECA Prays will think it is FECA Praise, and he would be happy to participate. But the story will be different. 



    People have coined phrases that describes the prayer secretary. For instance some say that "the Prayer secretary is the engine house of the fellowship"  and other things. In many cases, that's true because in National and regional conventions, the National Prayer Secretary is the one responsible for leading the FECA Prays session, which is the hub or outstanding attribute/feature of FECA.  And right here, let's look at the functions of the National Prayer secretary in Federation of Colleges Ex-Students' Christian Association (FECA). 



    Functions of the Prayer Secretary



    i. He shall be responsible for upholding FECA in prayers.

    ii. He shall in consultation with the National President draw up National Prayer timetables and circulate such in prayer bulletins to all chapters.

    iii. He shall be responsible for coordinating National Prayer squads in National Conventions and meetings.

    iv. He shall be responsible to the National President and NEC
