James.4.4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. (K.J.V)

 You know the popular English phrase, show me your friend and I'd tell you who you are. If yes, good. And if no, well, you know it now. The authenticity of that phrase to me should be given a 75% because you see you are no different from your friend, except you aren't true friends yet. The crowd you move with also defines the outcome of your life, just as the book of proverbs tells us that “He that walks with the wise is wise, but the companion of a fool would be destroyed.” And we must be reminded that no one who is serious with life and destiny walks with both the foolish and the wise, anyone who does such would end up in a big crash. 

The adulterers and adulteress both have something in common, which is unfaithfulness. Faithfulness is a vital resource in any relationship, including friendship, faithfulness to your partners. The adulterers do not have this character neither do the adulteress and so to remain friends with God we must be faithful to Him and in keeping His word. Anyone who isn't faithful to Him or His word is not His friend, but rather a friend of the world.

 So, each time we choose the world over God, we choose to be His enemy. We decide to be as adulterers and adulteress.

 God wants faithful friends, friends who would stand by His word and keep His commandments. 

You can't be friends with God want at the same time be friends with the world, you would end in a disastrous crash. You can't sit in between, make up your mind today! Friendship with the world is enmity with God.
