Miss Abasiamar Oscar,  a writer and a FECAite, has described words managesment as one of the most neglected yet imnportant aspect of daily act. According to her, people are less careful concerning what they say and hopw they say it every single day. In her own words, she writes in PenAb:

"Overtime, we've heard so much about time management, financial management, human resource management, etc.

But we seem to neglect the most important.

We are pros in all forms of management except words!

Why do we continue to "major on the minor and minor on the major?"

Many are very prudent with finances but are terrible words managers.

I used to be a victim.

Right from childhood, I've been an introvert but I've always had my way with words.

Introverts are not quiet, timid/shy, as most people conclude us to be. And there's no one who is 100% introverted or extroverted.

God knew why He made it so. Variety is the spice of life.

So at first, I was usually celebrated, and seen as a child who talked like an adult.

But as I grew, and surrendered my life to God, the HolySpirit began to prune me.

It's not as though I have now lost my talking prowess, no! I am not dumb or shy.

It's just that, my lips are now controlled by a new Master. He tells me when to speak and when to be silent.

There are times I get really hurt and I feel like bursting out that very moment,

And giving it to the offender "wotowoto as e dey hot"

But Baba no go gree.

The harder I try, the more resistance I feel.

Then I resort to lie on the bed and cry out, telling Him how pained I am.

At some other times, I pick up my pen, and write a letter to whoever hurt me (but the letter usually ends up in my notebook).

You see, with words, many have hurt what they can't kill, and others have destroyed what they can't heal.

Some later regretted but it was already late.

But I've found a better way.

I'd rather exercise my verbal power positively.

I'd rather use my words to serve God.

I'd rather use words to be a blessing to my generation.

The goal remains to make Jesus proud cos Jesus is a brand.

And as his brand ambassador, I specialize in Words management.

So help me God.

Words are indeed powerful but silence is golden. But wisdom is knowing when to speak and when not to.

Especially when you are with children, don't spill words you cannot take back.

And as you go about the day's activities, please practice words management."
