Who is an Ex-Officio Member in National Executive Council?

  • In FECA National Executive Council (NEC), there is always an ex-officio member. The National Executive Council in FECA Nigeria is the organ of the Christian organization that is responsible for the establishment of and amendments of laws and other provisions of the organization.

    Amongst the members of the Council, is an ex-officio. And this ex-officio is usually the immediate past National President of FECA Nigeria. For instance, the ex-officio member of the NEC in 2020-2022 leadership tenure is the past National President of FECA, Sir Chinonso Okoye. Also, the ex-officio of the 2018-2020 leadership tenure is Ashiru Oluwaseyi, the immediate past National President.

    What are the roles of the Ex-officio member in NEC?



    According to the provisions made by the constitution of FECA, the Ex-officio member is to play the following roles



    i. He shall serve in an advisory capacity to the National Executive Council (NEC).

    ii. He shall attend meetings at the invitation of the NEC.

    iii. He shall act as a liaison officer between the National facilitators of FECAFOSM and the NEC.
