Paris Saint-Germain delivered a stunning 4-0 victory over Real Madrid in the FIFA Club World Cup semifinal on July 9, 2025, at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey. Fabian Ruiz starred with two first-half goals, while Ousmane Dembele and Goncalo Ramos also found the net to seal a dominant win for PSG.

Sports noted that PSG took control early, scoring three goals within the first 24 minutes and effectively ending the contest before halftime. Real Madrid struggled to respond, even after introducing veteran Luka Modric, who may have played his final game for the club. The French champions maintained overwhelming possession and defensive solidity throughout the match, keeping a clean sheet and showcasing their Champions League-winning form.

This emphatic win sets up a final clash between PSG and Chelsea on July 13, with PSG aiming to become the first French team to win the Club World Cup. PSG coach Luis Enrique praised the team’s performance, particularly Dembele’s impact, while Real Madrid’s coach Xabi Alonso acknowledged the challenge and vowed to learn from the defeat.

The match also marked a notable chapter in the ongoing rivalry, as Kylian Mbappe faced his former club  Real Madrid for the first time since his 2024 transfer, but was unable to influence the outcome.
