Hebrews.12.1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, (KJV)

Imagine if you were asked to run a 500 m race with you carry on your shoulders a beam that weighed 1300 kg. 

If you were meant to finish at normal conditions by 20 minutes, you would be concluding your race at 50 minutes. 

This is because is the amount of load weighing you down.

 It's the same with the race of life, there are several weights we need to set aside and run with patience to make the most out of life. 

These weights aren't necessarily sin but are distraction pulling at us on every angle wanting us to pause and fix them first before we continue our journey. 

Weights of insecurity, weights of depression, fame, money, success, and affluence among so many others. 

These weights have robbed us of our blessings, not allowing the word of God dwell richly in us to bring forth our spiritual blessings to reality.

God tells us through His to let go of our heavy burdens, we should cast our cares on Jesus for He cares for us. 

He wants to carry our weights for us in place of His, but the question is: Would you let Him carry it? 

Would you let go of every weight and run to obtain an incorruptible price see the weight of His glory?

He has said we should cast all or burdens on Him that He would give us beauty for ashes, double for our shame. Only if we let go and lay it aside to receive.
