To the power that dedication wills, cheers!

 Have you ever sat to consider how the tiny seedlings of yam tubers or a grain of maize when thrown and buried underneath the earth, how it survives? You probably would bet that it doesn't want to go through the hell and episodes of tantrums, but what can it do, it perhaps has no say. But it does, it sees beyond its present state far into its future, a future of millions and millions of grains on its comb; meeting its sowers needs and putting a large smile on the farm boy's face. 

      Dedication wills that much power to see far into the future; beyond the pain of today to the pleasures of tomorrow. The power that transforms a grain of seed to a forest. The power that transforms a tiny yam seedlings to a two feet long heavy and groundbreaking yam tuber; in the valley of dedication does such power lay awaiting someone bold enough to pick it up.

But in order to pick it up, dedication demands sacrifice, deadly sacrifice. I once heard a quote which said, " Whatever you give yourself wholly to, you die to”;that simply means whatever you dedicate yourself to, you die to, and it takes you dying to something for you to completely give yourself wholly to it, whatever that thing is it must have mastery over you even thought that's not a clear phrase it gives us a picture of the sacrifice paid in the valley of dedication, Death.

 Dedication demands your death to bring life out of you, you see nothing lives without being dead first, just like that grain of maize that falls to the ground and when covered by the soil after some times begins to rot, it seems like there's no life in it any more;all hope is lost Then suddenly its plumule and radicle erupts out of its damaged tesla;a new life is now formed. A life that is more capable of bearing thousands and thousands of grains, that life erupts. So just as like that grain of maize dedication demands you laying down your all so the best in you can be seen, it demands you putting your best and placing yourself in the heat of the refiners fire and remaining in there until you become as valuable as Gold. God's word gives us a clear definition of dedication in John 12:24 “Verily, verily, I say unto you except a corn of wheat falls into the ground and die, it abide alone: but if it did, it bringeth forth much fruit”, Jesus was literally saying to us that except we get rooted and dedicated, we won't be able to grow into that man or into that woman we desire to become neither would we be able to achieve the goals we've outlined for ourselves. And so, you see the same way no plant grows in different places or spots but in a fixed spot, it's the same way we are meant to be, we must get rooted and dedicated for us to grow.  

        Even though the process of falling to the ground and dying is painful, and it's not easy as said, it might be painful, but the outcome of your task is what matters most, 2Cor.4.17 tells us that " These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us.” (MSB) Therefore let's get encouraged for dedication indeed is magic, it's beauty! 

So today choose to get dedicated, there's beauty ahead in the journey of dedication.

There is surely reaping for those who sow in tears and even though weeping may endure for a night joy comes in the morning.
