Daberechi Ubachukwu: The Transformative Impact of FECA in My Life (Updated)

Daberechi Ubachukwu (Dabz), a respected FECAite from Nsukka Chapter and current member of FECA Nsukka FOSM, exemplifies the organization's reach. As a professional software engineer at Tenece—check his profile [here for details on his tech career]—he is married and resides in Enugu, balancing faith, family, and innovation.
My FECA Story in Nsukka Chapter
"I was a victim of low self-esteem. I could not do it for myself; it had to be to please one person here and another there. I just wanted to be cool, even though I was not cool. But then I met this set of people that did not look cool but were cool. They taught me that being me was enough, and as long as I have Christ in me, that was more than enough. So I learnt to do me and to love me. I learnt that I could be the very best; that I could pursue after excellence. I was looking for friendship, but family found me. FECA found me..."
This raw testimony captures FECA's power to rebuild shattered confidence through authentic community, much like stories from Okigwe and cell groups where members reject facades for Christ-centered identity.

Love's Plea (Original Poem by Daberechi Ubachukwu, A.K.A. Dabz)
My people don't seem to understand me
Worst still, they don't want to understand me
They summarize me in their myopic way and store away in a shelf
But now, it's about time I introduced myself
I'm plain and as simple as ABC
If you'll just look a little deeper, then you will see
I'm not just the words you profess
Those are superficial, most times, useless
I'm something more special, something priceless
And when I come between two people, I make them a success
Look for the tiniest glimpse of good even where evil outweighs
Then I blow up the good and turn whoever from their evil ways
I'm neither hyper nor hypo-critical
I'm as honest as I come; I'm far from cynical
And as gentle as they come, I never get physical
I go hand in hand with trust, there is no room for betrayal
So, girl, when that guy follows you up and down
That ain't me stalking
When he promises to make your world go round
That ain't me talking
So don't cry, "I caught my love making out with a whore backstage!"
'Cos when I come, I come in a full package
So if you are so foolish as to get your heart broken
Don't blame me because I've had to take that again and again without a word spoken
Don't u realize that as you hurt me from heartbreaks time after time,
I hurt too 'cos I'm the victim here not the crime.
And for you boy, when that girl sucks you dry
That ain't me you're feeding
So when you end up broke and start asking why
Why is it me you start beefing?
Will you stop that song! How dare you say that I am wicked!? (Brick 'n' Lace)
When you've already made plans for another girl by next weekend?
People, you have abused me for too long!
Now my only plea is to be placed where I belong
Love me and let me teach you how to love
Let me teach you the principles we use up here above
I'm more than a feeling, I'm a personality
The One who loved you first, the focal point of your spirituality
I am LOVE! I am God!!!
My only plea is to be loved...and to let love.

FECA's Lasting Legacy in Dabz's Journey
Daberechi's evolution—from self-doubt to excelling as a Tenece engineer and family man—mirrors FECA's holistic training in excellence, loyalty, and expression (e.g., poetry). Nsukka Chapter's influence persists in his life, aligning with national themes like Prayer Weeks and cell fellowships that turn "victims" into victors.
