Non-Mature Ways to Settle Quarrels in Marriage
Disagreements are inevitable in relationships and marriages. Managing differences requires experience and maturity—not expecting endless good times. How you handle rifts determines longevity. Avoid these childish approaches:
Crying
Tears guilt-trip your partner (even if they're right), leading to petting or bribes—but issues stay unsolved. You're seen as a "crybaby": weak, overly emotional, taken for granted long-term. Speak your mind instead—he can't read tears!
Guilt-Tripping
Twist words: "So I'm wicked?" "You hate me?" "I'm your life problem?" It works short-term but paints you as bitter. Partners resent you, regretting the relationship.
Stonewalling
Ignore calls, sleep separately, refuse talks, hold malice (e.g., 1-week silence). This kills trust—nail in the marriage coffin if habitual. Grow up!
Denials/Withdrawals
Stop cooking, sex, finances as punishment. Pushes partners to affairs/adultery; they resent aid and seek alternatives. Teaches independence from you.
Conflict isn't the issue—immature handling is. Marriages aren't for children. Handle maturely.
