2023 FECA Missions to Adamawa: Aims, and Strategic Reasons for Expansion
93 Views

During Mr. Edem Samuel's tenure as a key national leader (including roles like National Outreach Coordinator 2020-2022), FECA Nigeria launched the "Missions Go Northward" initiative, sparking new chapters in northern states like Kaduna—evidenced by today's thriving presence there. Eastern and Western regions boast rapid chapter growth, particularly in the east with hubs like Aba Central and Calabar, but the north lagged—prompting this deliberate strategy to fulfill FECA's vision ofredeeming the deolation of our land and generation.
A senior member once shared a pioneering testimony of penetrating the north with the Gospel, winning souls against odds—proving if forebears succeeded, current leaders can excel exponentially. Building on this, FECA recently wrapped the highly successful Benue Mission in 2023, attended by Eastern zonal coordinators, secretaries, regional executives, and National Outreach Coordinator Mr. Temple Losa. Videos and reports confirm its impact: boosting chapters from one to multiple, with cells emerging amid calls for strengthened capacity.
Now, the Adamawa Mission kicked off in May 2023, led by ControlPost Chapter, aiming to "raise feeble knees that stoop to fall" in a season of fruitfulness and redeeming desolation. Activities target weary hands and youth outreach, aligning with FECA's core: transforming alumni through Christ amid Nigeria's diverse regions. As of 2018-2020 tenure, the mission showed sustained growth, with North-East Regional Coordinator Opara Esther (who later became national vice president) and Secretary Emmanuel Ejike overseeing expansions. This northward thrust counters regional imbalances, mirroring Edem Samuel's era successes in Benue and beyond.
