The 11th national Convention of FECA Nigeria happened in Benin City and it was themed, "Kingdom 1st." This convention lasted for four days because the date was  Wednesday 17th to Sunday 21st of August, 2016. The venue of the convention was Balm of Gilead City, Church of God Mission International Camp Ground, off Sapele Road, Egun/Ogua Communities, Benin City, Edo State.

It was my first time to go to Edo State. In fact, that was my first time to travel over the Niger Bridge. I remember when we were crossing Onitsha in Anambra State, entering Delta via the Niger bridge, the curiosity and the wideness of my eyes, along with other FECAites was alarming, because we were seeing the River Niger for the first time. I remember someone asking in the bus, "So where is the Y?" We all laughed.

When we arrived at night, we discovered that we were late to the convention ground. The Kingdom1st national convention was very populous, over 10, 000 people came to the convention from all over the federation. Also, a lot of FOSM members were in attendance. And there were so many long vehicles around the camp environments. That's how we knew that the population is plenty.

The convention witnessed the presence of seasoned men of God like Pastor David Ogbueli, late pastor Ezekiel Atang, Pastor Henry Oleabhie, Mr Adeolu Ogunnubi, Mr. Chimedu Iwuala, and Pastor Ndukwe Ndukwe. All these ministers spoke to us in express terms about the Kingdom of God.

For instance, Pastor David Ogbueli had a double session with us, morning and evening. In the morning session, he spoke on the topic, "Kings and Priests: The Market-Place Apostles." And at night, he spoke on the topic, "Young People's hindrances to fulfilling Kingdom Assignments."

Also, Late Pastor Ezekiel Atang spoke on the topic, "Kingdom Character." He gave us the attributes, attitudes and reasoning pattern of a Kingdom man compared to an Unbeliever. According to an excerpt from his message, Kingdom men are men who command powers, they are men of virtue, men of great influence in the spirit realm. They don't panic under obscure situations because they are always precise at heart and they know that there is an all-knowing God who is always with them.

Furthermore, Pastor Henry Oleabhie of Heritage Assembly, Benin City, spoke on, "Salvation: The door of the kingdom." Papa Dee, who hosts the Heart to Heart TV show in Lagos, also spoke about the "Vision of FECA; passionate service, and personal development."  Pastor Ndukwe Ndukwe of Kingdom Diplomats, Uturu, spoke about "The Altar, authentic platform for Kingdom warfare." You need to listen to this one because the title alone is loaded.  Lastly, Mr Chinedu Iwuala spoke on the theme of the convention, which is "The Kingdom First." He cited several places in the scriptures, especially Matthew 6:33 and gave numerous life testimonies of people who did put the Kingdom of God first and they received miracles beyond their imagination.

The national president of FECA Nigeria during the Kingdom 1st national convention also spoke. His name is Mr. Malachy Onuwa. His topic was "The Holy Spirit: Governor of the Kingdom."

More updates about conventions will be coming your way. Sit tight.
