    We have been given a mandate, a lifestyle.

Our every act , our every speech, our every thought must align with God's. 

Every thing we are and will be is embedded in scriptures, all we have to do is discover it for ourselves.

A wise man once said that ; THE BIBLE IS THE OLDEST BOOK WITH THE LATEST NEWS.

When you have this knowledge in your heart ,you will come to understand a bit of God's will. You will come to understand that you aren't normal and you cannot be normal even if you try.

   We are peculiar people, set aside by God for his glorification. All this and more makes us different from your regular human. It gives us an edge over the average man.

And with this edge, comes responsibilities!

 

2Cor.6.14 - Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

 

     It falls on you to live a life worthy of emulation. To live a life worthy of Christ.

Because of the level of grace, favour and mercy on your life, you just cannot act like every other man.

In this sense, you also cannot attach yourself to people of unlike minds as they will only bring you down. Their essence will begin to rub off on you and slowly contaminate yours.

    It's just like living with a smoker. You may not smoke but the constant inhalation of the cigarette smoke begins to take on toll on you. You will begin to develop some of the symptoms of a smoker .

    This is exactly what mingling with unbelievers does to you. 

 

"...for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?"

 Until you are able to answer the above questions, you cannot make a headway in your walk with Christ. 

2Cor.6.17 - So leave the corruption and compromise; leave it for good," says God. "Don't link up with those who will pollute you. I want you all for myself.(MSG BIBLE)
