Most persons say self-discipline is easier said than done. This view isn't at all wrong when you think about it.

Living life for other people's opinions regardless of it's consequences has done a number on the twenty-first century Christian.

Everyone wants to belong. They all want to follow the trend forgetting that the majority can also be wrong.

However, something vital is at stake. You cannot eat your cake and have it too;you cannot follow the world and expect God to hang around by the side waiting till you are ready for him again. God is definitely a busy man;at least I like to think so.

Moving from your comfort zone isn't something we like to do everyday. But being a law unto yourself helps you to control some urges. We are all human, so doing some things come naturally. Things like enjoying the pleasures of the flesh. It's a general knowledge that it's easier to sin than it is to live a righteous life.

Having a right standing with God and man is what paves way to living a life of Holiness.

Joseph was a youth in the throes of misfortune. He however, refused under any circumstances to defile himself with the pleasures of this world (Genesis 35:6-10). He had made up his mind to never do anything that will take him away from God.

I assume that Potiphar's wife was a super attractive female so it must have been tough for such a young lad to resist. Nevertheless, his God came first. And because of this awareness of someone greater lurking somewhere, Joseph was able to flee from that trap.

We don't expect people of this day and age to be able to resist so skillfully like Joseph did in the past. But, we are all stronger than we think. Much more stronger than we give ourselves credit for. No matter the happenings, we just have to be aware that there is someone out there cheering us on from the sidelines of life.

This knowledge should serve as a confidence booster to us. Never settle for less. We are worth everything and so we deserve every good thing in life. Don't put yourself short by engaging in abominable acts not befitting a carrier of divine grace.Carry yourself with dignity and all sense of worth. Only the way you see yourself can determine the way others see you.

Notwithstanding the happenings, living a righteous life is attainable. All you need to do is make that decision. Crossing the first hurdle of decision making is never easy. However, God has not given us the spirit of fear but of boldness. We are not of the world so we won't succumb to the dictates of the world. We are from a kingdom that thrives in goal-setting and goal-getting.

Go on and conquer on every side. God and his army of angels are definitely cheering you on.
