A Chat with one of FECA Umuguma chapter's member.
What do people say when you ask them if they have heard about FECA Umuguma chapter before?
Well, most of the time, when we go out for outreaches, and ask the young adults if they have heard about FECA before, they would respond with, "What's FECA?" They ask because they have never heard, whereas some other people would be like, "I've heard about FECA before..."
FECA is a non-denominational fellowship located all over Nigeria. The history of FECA is about the ten girls that started the fellowship in their secondary school days in Federal Government Girls College, Calabar, in the 1990s. Their aim of starting the fellowship was divinely orchestrated and because it was God's plan for the youths, FECA has flourished for many decades.
FECA Chapters are spread in many locations and you can find them anywhere you are in Nigeria. One of the chapters that is in eastern region, is FECA Umuguma chapter. FECA Umuguma is a chapter in Imo zone, and they always have their fellowship on Sundays by 2:30 PM. On Thursdays are for Prayer meeting by 9PM and the venue for the fellowship as of the time of posting is The Redeemed Christian Church of God (Power Sanctuary) Umuome, close to Umuguma market, Owerri, Imo state. For more information, call this number: 09064433767.
So the next time you meet a youth anywhere and ask the person if he or she has heard about FECA before and the person tells you that he is not aware of the fellowship, what would you say?
Actually, I will let the person know that he or she is a FECAite by default, because FECA is for everyone who finished secondary school. It's the default understanding that the person is automatically a FECAite since she has finished secondary school and she can join us in our fellowship venue to see other vibrant youths believers like her, worship and praise God.
