My Impressions About Ajibola Abodunde, FECA Ex-National President
109 Views

When I joined FECA fellowship in 2014, just after secondary school, my first chapter was FECA Azikiwe Road, located at No. 73 Azikiwe Road, Masters Vessels Church, Umuahia. As at that time, I had no idea what FECA was all about. I just loved the cool people that I was privileged to meet. They were people who know much but never showcase their knowledge. I loved the fact that there were many of the Senior members that were coming around to fellowship on Saturdays and they were inspiring us. They were very supportive. I loved the love in the chapter. Because it was real. If it was not real, I would not be in love with FECA even to this day. This is not my FECA story. I will narrate my FECA story/experience in another post. But right now, I want to talk about the first time I went for FECA National Convention, and my impression of the National President, Pastor Ajibola Abodunde.
It was in the year, 2014. The FECA National convention was themed, "Exceeding Grace" 2014. It was the 11th National Convention of FECA Nigeria. The crowd in that convention was something else: people! I love that convention because it was there that I first saw the founders of FECA Nigeria, about three or four of them. They spoke to us during FOSM session and told us the story of how FECA started in their own experience, in their own deepest of feelings. Everybody was touched by their stories, because Mummy Edak, and her friends can talk. Much of what they talked about is contained in this post.
Thanks to the national executives of FECA in the 2012-2014 leadership tenure who brought these great women and men to the Convention. PapaDee was there and many others. There were prominent preachers during that convention who saturated the atmosphere with divine essence. Former zonals and regionals were there. Former nationals came. Crowd. FECA variety night was dopest. I loved it! But what I loved more was the attire of the man that was always coming to the podium to say something. I later learnt that he is the national president of FECA Nigeria, Pastor Ajibola Abodunde. I noticed quickly that he liked wearing huge collar shirts, suits preferably. He had a lot of confidence because I could see it radiate from his demeanor all the time. You know, as a fresher that year, I was always rushing to take the front seat so that I could see the nationals - who looked glorious as they were all seated in the front row. The sight of the nationals was magnificent. So I was always watching the national president during the convention.
