Who is a Fresher, in FECA?

A "Fresher" in FECA refers to a newcomer who has just begun attending a specific FECA chapter, regardless of prior experience elsewhere. Like university freshers—new first-year students appearing young, naive, and routine-bound (class-hostel-library cycle)—FECA Freshers require nurturing and love akin to caring for a baby.
Chapter-Specific Status
Yes, someone can be an old member in one FECA chapter yet a Fresher in another. Status depends on chapter affiliation; transferring or visiting a new one resets them to Fresher level for integration purposes.

Freshers Welcome Banquet
Freshers Banquet formally welcomes new members annually with vibrant publicity drawing crowds, especially university-bound youth. The one-day event features Word teachings, spoken word, dance, drama, music, talent shows, mime, refreshments, gifts, and advice on careers, courses, time management, campus friendships, Christian fellowship, First Class strategies, and avoiding pitfalls like carryovers, bad relationships, family issues, or poor feeding.
Senior Members' Contributions
Senior members share FECA stories or undergraduate experiences to equip Freshers for higher education challenges.
Freshers Forum and Bonding
Freshers form a Forum until Freshers Day/Generation Day, led by male (Generation Papa) and female (Generation Mama) heads, plus a Generation Coordinator (often an executive). Regular meetings foster bonding—visits, sharing, familiarity—creating lifelong connections that endure post-chapter, marriage, or relocation, mirroring unity among all FECAites.
