How ASUU Strike is affecting Campus fellowships in FECA

FECA Campus Network is one of the major networks in FECA Nigeria that helps to integrate FECAites from different zones who come to study in a particular university. Usually known as FCN, it is the singular force that unites, educates and sustains the zeal of FECAites who leave their home chapters to study in a particular university. Because some people might receive an office/tag in FECA and by privilege of gaining admission, they might have to leave their home chapter/office and go to school (probably in a far place). They might even not like to function under an official umbrella in the new Campus chapter, because they already have an office in their home chapter. Thus they would join FCN. FECA Campus Network helps to groom them on salient fact about the campus where they are on material aids like text books, materials, tutorials, etc. But the most important thing that FCN does is to connect these young people to other FECAites who are also on Campus.

Structure of FECA Campus Network
FCN usually have a Coordinator and a Secretary. These offices are recognized in the constitution of FECA Nigeria. They are very pivotal in sustaining the vision of FECA Nigeria.

What has ASUU strike done?
Inasmuch as there is the need to connect FECAites from all the zones in a particular university, there is no way this can be possible without the smooth running of academic activities seeing that in the Nigerian tertiary institution, there is an ongoing industrial action that has lasted for over three months. In fact, most of the campus fellowships have experienced a huge drop in the number of members that attend fellowship on fellowship days. Because many students have traveled. It is even surprising that some FCN Coordinators traveled!

How Non-Campus Chapters are faring
Some chapters that are not campus fellowships have however, experienced a huge turn-up of membership because many of their members who traveled away to different universities have come back due to the ongoing ASUU strike in Nigeria. They are experiencing what might be termed a "full house".
