About FECA Campus Network in Nigeria

FECA is a great place for young people who love God and are passionate for God. FECA is in almost every part in Nigeria. Sometimes, a member leaves his home chapter and zone for studies in a higher institution (either College of Education, Polytechnic, university or a Secretarial school). There are times when upon leaving one's home chapter, for studies in a higher institution, one might find it difficult to locate a FECA chapter in that higher institution. It is the duty of FECA Campus Network (FCN) to help this person and this is achieved through a coordinator.

The problem of locating a FECA chapter in the higher institution has been solved through various means. For instance, FECA Nigeria program of events that is being shared to FECAites during conventions contains a directory of FECA Nigeria chapters and phone numbers. The student can make use of this directory for reference purposes.

Also, FECA Campus Network is helping immensely and has helped so many students in the past. Briefly, it is the office in many Campus chapters that is headed by a coordinator who sees that the welfare of youths and FECAites from different states who are studying in a particular university is met. Not necessarily materially, but mainly spiritually and emotionally, including academically. FECA Campus Network or FCN, gathers FECAites in a particular university, example UNIZIK, ESUT, ABU etc, and acquaint them with all the FECAites that are also from other chapters. It is like a gathering of brethren from different states.

The Purpose of FECA Campus Network

There are many reasons why FCN exists. Some of them include the following:

For support
For meetings
For accommodation purposes
For connection purposes

SUPPORT

Freshmen on campus are sometimes in need of one form of help or the other. They therefore tend to bend towards and become loyal to the one who provides such help to them. This help can be in form of notes for studies, text books, or handouts, or even free tutorials for different courses offered by the students. It is the responsibility of FCN to see that some of these basic needs of the students are provided.

ACCOMMODATION

It is a common issue in many tertiary institutions: accommodation. People are often stranded when it comes to accommodation. Accommodation poses as a bully to students who arrive in the university for POST UTME exams, or for their first semester session. Whichever is the case, it is good if FCN coordinators bring these students to a safe abode where they can feel at home, because if they are left alone, some of the cult groups might seize them and initiate them into cultism. This happens a lot. And it must be curbed: cultism. But in the case where the youngster is taken care of by the good guys (FECAites), his future is rest assured. This is part of the love that is being shared in FECA.

REGULAR MEETINGS

FECA Campus Network's meetings should be taken seriously. The coordinators should make every member to attend and be actively involved because it is in the meetings that FECAites get to know and meet other FECAites from other zones and chapters.

FEATURES OF FECA CAMPUS NETWORK MEETINGS

Some of the things that FECAites do when they attend FCN meetings include the following:

prayer
introduction by the members
word,
brainstorming exercises
games
item seven, etc.

FECA Campus Network meetings should be held regularly and each meeting should have a new member.

To wrap it up, the objective of FCN is to connect people, and to redeem the desolation of our land and generation; and this is achieved through connection ( this is but one of the means to achieve the objective).
