  • There are many things that people say when they are asked, "What is the Vision of FECA?" Because the truth remains that many people don't really know how to state the Vision correctly because they did not make out time to really find out the true vision of FECA. For clarity sake, the vision statement of FECA is "Redeeming the desolation of our land and generation", and then you quote the BIble verse in Isaiah 61:4. There is more to the vision statement "...to redeem the desolation of our land and generation..." because that is not the Vision itself, it is only the vision statement.

From the start, FECA Vision is divided into three and it is the third part that many people recite whenever they are being asked, "What is the vision of FECA?" They simply say, "Redeeming the desoaltion of our land and generation", whereas, that is just the vision statementThe first two parts, which are the core of the vision, are largely being either forgotten or ignored, because they are  long to memorize. Yet, it does not change the fact that the Vision still stands.

So What is the Vision of FECA?

The Vision is explicitly stated thus:

    1. To unite and follow up born again Christian youths; ex-students of Federal Government Colleges and other private and state schools (Universities, Polytechnics and Vocational Training Schools) in Nigeria,

    2. Encourage in the faith those still in schools, and reach out to those not yet saved, and to other youths in general all over the country.

    3. Aimed at “Redeeming the Desolation of our Land and Generation”

    4.

The scriptures that are used for this vision are: Isaiah 61:4, which says, "And they shall build the old wastes, and they shall raise up the former desolations; and they shall repair the waste cities,  the desolations of many generations."

The second scrripture that is used in backing the Visio of FECA is Isaiah 58:12, which says, "And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places; thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in."

    Summary of the Vision

"To unite and follow up born again Christian youths; ex-students of Federal Government Colleges and other private and state schools."

This is the first part of the Vision of FECA and someone may be asking what does it entail? Well, the same question was put forward to Mr. Adeolu Ogunnubi, the third National President of FECA Nigeria in an interview, and he responded by daying that, "...the vision of FECA is to reach out to students, bring them into the fold of Christ, disciple them, making sure they grow. Thus, raising up a generation of well-grounded believers in the word and in prayers. The Vision of FECA is to raise and strengthen believers, with the aim of sending them back into secondary schools to raise new breed of deep-rooted believers."

The one word that summarizes this part of the vision is OUTREACHES. It is the core of FECA's existence. Because FECAites go to sescndary schools, Colleges, Unity shcools, primary schools and many other places to reach out to young people. They bring these people to fellowship and get them saved; make them recieve the Lord Jesus into their lives and recieve the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The secod aspect of theh vision is all about reaching out too.
