What FECA Helped Me Do {Mrs. Ibuku Ogunnubi}
245 Views
Mrs. Ibuku Adebukola Ogunnubi is a very gentle and soft woman (at least when she spoke during the 2022 National Convention in Lagos). She joined FECA in 2000 at FECA FESTAC chapter. Despite not holding any office, her footprints remain in the chapter and beyond. She is an engineer and lecturer at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), wife of Papa Dee.
During the Overcomers Convention in Lagos, Papa Dee asked his wife: "How did FECA help you to help people meet a target?"
"Well, where I work, I deal with engineers, and my job is to lead people to achieve goals. If I don't do my job, payments won't come in the company."
"FECA helped me because I can encourage and drive people to meet targets. I'm the only woman in meetings most of the time, and people tell me stuff because I'm a woman. But I'm bold (with the Holy Ghost) to address it politely. I look at the corporate structure and lead it back to Scripture. Imagine talking to older people to do their jobs—that's what I learned in FECA."
"In FECA leadership, you build relationships that help later. I left my field but still call my previous 'guys,' and they say 'No P.' That's what FECA leadership teaches."
"My husband's work on FECA Nigeria's first constitution shows its leadership builds you to lead toward goals."
