Many times and at different occasions, I have had to observe the state of the skies above us. In many of these observations, I noted the beautiful array of clouds, the birds and also, I noted a football like sun pouring its scotching heat and light upon the earth. Recently, I learnt something remarkable above these beautiful heavenly bodies. 

Have you ever thought of how big the earth is? As at September 2017, 7.5 people were estimated to be living on the earth. Despite this fact, there are still wide sparse of untouched lands in many nations of the world. You would need one million three hundred thousand planet earth to fill up the sun. Hmm. This means the sun must be a very big place. It may amaze you to know that this really big sun is only one of the thirty billion suns in the Milky Way Galaxy. 

Our sun is classified as a G2 dwarf star. This is because, many of these thirty billion stars are larger than our sun, and they all have billion or possibly trillion of planets which evolve around them. All these are present in only one galaxy. Scientists have been able to observe 170 billion galaxies in space. Do you know that when you are sleeping you are moving pretty fast? Every minute that our Milky Way Galaxy have covered a distance of about 20,000 kilometres. A whole galaxy is rotating at such a speed! In space, our days, months and years have failed light years, and they are used instead. A light year is the distance light travels in a year at the rate of 186,000 miles per second.

Well, we all need to be reminded that God did not just create the earth. He made the universe! The Bible says...He fills everything in every way(Ephesians 1:23) The God we serve is a big and great God. His immensity cannot be comprehended by our finite minds. What is a plate of food, a car or a house to this loving Father?
